Letter from the CEO: Japan Humanitarian Aid
Dear All,
My heart goes out to those affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. My team at Fenix and I are deeply moved by the compassion and heroic efforts of the citizens of Japan, the thousands of the relief workers, and the millions of individual donors contributing from around the world. On behalf of Fenix International, I would like to make a humble contribution to the global relief efforts by supplying ReadySet Solar kits to relief agencies serving on the ground in Japan.
Energy has become a critical need. Over a quarter million households in Japan are completely without electricity.
Over 10 Giga-watts of power generation are now absent as a result of the earthquake. As a result, energy has become a critical need, with more than a quarter million households in Japan now completely without electricity.
We are partnering with Catapult Design, a 501(c)3 non-profit, to accept tax-deductible donations to help provide the ReadySet to relief agencies. The ReadySet can provide power for essential lighting and communications from solar panels as well as emergency backup power from the grid for those with experiencing frequent blackouts.
Each donation will help provide ReadySet Solar kits at cost to relief efforts in Japan: $50, $100, $250, $500 or any amount you can give will help provide energy to light up the darkness of nightfall and power mobile phones to reconnect loved ones.

Sincerely,
Mike Lin
