Donation Details
Fenix and our partners believe that very careful consideration must be taken when accepting donations and providing humanitarian aid.
Please see below for more information about our efforts and we welcome your feedback.
Fenix International is a for-profit corporation designing and producing power generation and energy storage solutions.
We will be providing ReadySet Solar kits at cost to on-the-ground aid organizations. Each kit will contain the following:
- ReadySet, an intelligent battery that can quickly and safely charge from solar panels as well as from the grid.
- 15W Solar Panel
- Japanese style Grid Charger
- 5W Compact Fluorescent Bulb
- Two USB Universal Phone Battery Chargers
We currently estimate that it will cost between $200-300 to manufacture and deliver a ReadySet Kit to Japan. We will continue to update this page as we gain greater clarity on our logistics costs.
We are partnering with Catapult Design, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization focused on product design for basic needs, to provide the ReadySet to on-the-ground humanitarian relief organizations. Together, Fenix and Catapult have identified several high-quality on-the-ground organizations who will distribute the ReadySet to those in need. We are currently in discussions with UN OCHA, Second Harvest Japan and others. We will be sure to keep this page up to date as we select our on-the-ground implementing partner(s).
